About the Filmmaker
James Jankiewicz is a New Jersey native and the owner of Ether Filmworks. James has been producing films since the 5th grade and has experimented in all genres. Ether Filmworks is a recently established production company focusing in documentaries that explore the more esoteric topics in religion, politics, and human nature.
James received his education in filmmaking working as a production assistant in NYC right out of high school. After working on everything from feature films to high profile music videos, James then studied film for two years at the School of Visual Arts in NYC. In addition to producing his own films, James has worked professionally as an editor and camera operator in the cable TV industry as well as corporate and event work.
After attending the School of Visual Arts in NYC James traveled the country from coast to coast. It was during this period his eyes were opened to various eclectic political and religious movements throughout the country. His years of travel and study would be the genesis of the ideas that would fuel the films of Ether Filmworks.
About Ether Filmworks
Ether Filmworks will be focusing on the kind of content James has spent over 20 years studying. In every field there are alternative voices and ideas that do not always get recognized. This includes science, religion, politics, finance and more. It is the purpose of Ether Filmworks to not only share the alternative ideas, but to tell the stories of the people behind them. After all what is the sum total of our humanity if not a collection of stories to be shared? Too often the stories we hear in our everyday lives tend to come from a very narrow pool of storytellers and lacks the diversity we so need to help us understand the sum total of our human experience. Ether Filmworks is dedicated to playing it’s part in bringing some pieces of the human puzzle that may have fallen beneath the table.
